Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how CaseLine collects, uses, and protects your data. By using our app, you agree to this policy.

2.1 Purchase Data
- Purchase History: We store information about your credit purchases and unlocked cases to manage your account and provide access to premium content.
- Credit Balance: Your available credits are stored securely in Firebase Firestore and synchronized across your devices.
- Transaction Verification: Purchase transactions are validated through Apple's App Store Connect to prevent fraud and ensure legitimate access.
2.2 User Identifiers
- User ID: We use Firebase Authentication to assign your device an anonymous identifier. This allows us to sync your purchases, credits, and preferences across devices.
- Device Identifier (IDFV): Your device's vendor identifier is used to manage purchases and restore credits when you reinstall the app or switch devices.
2.3 Case Data
- Case Information: Case content is loaded from Firebase servers. This data is provided by us and does not include personal user data.
- Unlocked Cases: We track which premium cases you have unlocked using credits to provide continued access.
2.4 Push Notifications
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: Your device subscribes anonymously to notification topics to receive relevant updates about new cases.
- Notification Preferences: We store your notification settings (which types of updates you want to receive, daily limits, and language preferences) using your device's anonymous identifier. This data is stored in Firebase Firestore.
- Country Code: Only the country code of your device may be stored to deliver region-specific content. It is not linked to your personal identity.
2.5 Analytics
- Usage Data: We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used. This service collects anonymized data such as app interactions, product interactions (which cases are viewed), session duration and frequency.
- Device Information: Device model, operating system version, and app version are collected for analytics purposes.
- The information is processed by Google and stored on servers, with EU servers selected where available. The data is not used to personally identify you.
2.6 Diagnostics
- Crash Reports: We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash data to improve app stability.
- Performance Data: App performance metrics (loading times, response times) are collected to optimize the user experience.
3. How We Use Data
We use the collected data for the following purposes:
- App Functionality: To manage your credit balance, track purchased cases, and provide access to premium content
- Purchase Management: To validate purchases, prevent fraud, and enable "Restore Purchases" functionality
- Cross-Device Sync: To synchronize your credits, unlocked cases, and preferences across your devices
- Notifications: To deliver push notifications you have subscribed to in your preferred language
- Analytics: To understand general usage trends, improve features, and develop new content
- Stability & Security: To ensure the app works properly and fix technical issues
4. Data Storage & Security
4.1 Storage Location
- Firebase (Google Cloud Platform): We have selected EU-based servers where available. Data may be transmitted to servers outside the EU in accordance with Google's privacy policies.
- Encryption: All data is transmitted securely using SSL/TLS encryption.
- Local Backup: Purchase data is also stored locally on your device as a backup in case of connectivity issues.
4.2 Data Retention
- Purchase Data: Stored indefinitely to maintain access to your unlocked cases and credits.
- Analytics Data: Retained according to Google Analytics' default retention periods (up to 14 months).
- Crash Data: Retained for 90 days to diagnose and fix issues.
5. Third-Party Services
The following third-party services are integrated into CaseLine:

7. Your Rights

- Deleting your data will result in loss of your credits and unlocked cases

You can request a copy of your purchase data in a machine-readable format.

- Push Notifications: You can disable notifications in the app settings or your device settings.
- Analytics: You cannot opt out of Firebase Analytics, but the data collected is anonymized and not linked to your personal identity.

CaseLine is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the app and on our website. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
